How do you determine your fee?
My fees are project-based, meaning I will scope the project and give you a set fee at the beginning. This allows you to have a firm number to work with for budgeting processes.
Fees do not change unless scope changes.
Two rounds of revisions (less than 20% of the copy is changed within the original scope of the project) are included in all project fees as long as they are received within 30 days of work submission.
What are your terms?
A deposit of 50% of the project fee is due prior to work starting. The balance is due on submission of the completed work.
Should a project be terminated for any reason prior to work being finished, a kill fee is applied. If a project is needed on a short turnaround, a rush surcharge may be applied.
Do you have a process for copywriting projects?
Prior to work beginning, we’ll discuss what kind of project you’re interested in, the goal you are hoping to achieve, and what your expectations are. Once I have a good idea of your needs and specification, I’ll provide a written estimate that outlines the scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables for the project.
Once you’ve signed off on the estimate and paid the deposit, work begins. As work proceeds, I’ll stay in touch as needed to gather additional information, keep you apprised of progress, and hand over the deliverables once they are complete.
What do you need to get started?
To start a project, you’ll need to sign off on the project estimate which outlines the project scope, cost, schedule, and deliverables and provide the 50% deposit of the project fee. I will also need you to complete a creative brief and supply any other source content required for work to begin.
How are you different?
Unlike many copywriters, I have direct experience in business management, sales psychology, and B2B marketing. Thanks to my years in corporate training, I also understand adult learning principles and writing to teach.
When you hire me, you are working with a copywriter who “gets it.”
Do you guarantee your work?
I’ll work with you to provide copy that meets the project criteria agreed to prior to work starting and that you are happy with. However, there are many elements of your marketing program that I cannot control which will impact performance of copy so I don’t guarantee specific results.
Will you sign an NDA?

Who owns the completed project?
My projects are work-for-hire projects. Once the project is complete and I have received final payment, the copyright will pass to you so that you own the completed work.
